Born on 15 September 1948 in Riga, Lithuania. Graduated from the Music Academy in Vilnius. Played in Riga city orchestra of Radio and Television.

Since 1989 lives in Germany, working as a musician. Played with A.Blakey, O.Peterson, G.Washington.

Married, has two daughters.
